Blue Hydrangeas

​Choose a spot with dappled morning sun and afternoon shade.

  1. Prepare the Roots: Soak the bare-root hydrangea in a bucket of water for 1–2 hours before planting to hydrate.

  2. Dig the Hole: Dig a hole twice as wide as the root system, ensuring it is not too deep—the crown (where roots meet stems) should sit just below the soil surface.

  3. Position the Plant: Place the plant in the hole, spreading the roots outwards.

  4. Backfill and Water: Fill the hole with soil, pressing gently to remove air pockets.

  5. Water In: Water thoroughly to settle the soil.
